Collective Reading
What individual work is needed in order to be in service with Community?
Tarot Card: 8 of Wands
With the 8 of Wands we are being asked to embrace the passion and fire of momentum, while being cautious of burnout. With so many worthy causes vying for our attention and resources, it's easy to feel overwhelmed. Getting focussed and specific about how you want to contribute will definitely help. What aspects of community get you the most excited? What causes are nearest and dearest to your heart? Getting involved in your local community may seem small, but never doubt the impact you're making on others around you. Pursuing your passions will inspire others to do so, and before you know it you will be a part of a community born out of collaboration. I pulled the following Oracle cards for further clarification.
Healing Mantra Card: Transforming Tragedy
Loss is my reminder that more room has been made for greater gifts to be received.
Shadow Oracle Card: The Void
Moonology Card: New Moon in Leo
Confidence is your key to success.
With change and loss comes the temptation to fill the empty space. In the words of the great observer Alanis Morissette, "Why are you so petrified of silence?" Use the momentum of the 8 of Wands to go within and get clear about what you are actually passionate about. Yes, we want to call in community and collaboration, but we want them to be an energetic match for this new version of ourselves. You really want to find your people? You have to shine your light as brightly as you can so they can find you. After we've taken the time to sit with the discomfort of loss and the void we are given the opportunity to emerge focused on our passions and what lights us up in the first place. When we feel like we're finding our people, let's be bold and make the first move. We may even surprise ourselves with this brave new version of who we've become.
