RACISM, BIAS, & MICROAGRESSIONS
This workshop(s) pushes groups to confront explicit and implicit beliefs and actions that maintain an oppressive status quo, such as tokenization, implicit bias, colorblind racism/whiteness as default, internalized oppression, and microagressions. These workshops are rooted in intersectionality and community dialogue. We will not only explore these topics, but strategize, as a community, about how to take action to heal and move through these phenomena in your community.
CRAFTING COMMUNITY AGREEMENTS
Whether spoken or unspoken, there are always rules of the road in every space. Some key questions are who crafted those rules, do they honor the humanity of the people they govern, and how are people held accountable to those rules. In order to have a culture that uplifts the needs of the collective, people need an opportunity to have their voice heard and needs given meaningful consideration. Working from a restorative justice perspective, I guide groups through a consensus-drive process to craft a Community Agreement where equity, inclusion, mutual respect, and creativity can thrive.
WORKING FROM THE INSIDE OUT
This workshop is for people who have the drive and desire to take the lead at creating change within their working environment, but are looking for tactics and tools to support an impactful process. I will work with you and your group to clarify your goals, analyze power, identify root causes to problems, refine your advocacy skills, walk through various pain points, and/or create a concrete action-plan.
RELEASING ATTACHMENT & CREATING YOUR OWN PATH
In this workshop, we will use our voice and bodies to begin releasing toxic behaviors and ideologies that limit us and keep us separate from our deepest selves and one another. Self-care is a vital tool for genuine collective action, and while it is often presented as exclusively a pleasant and affirming experience, it also requires personal accountability and confronting difficult truths. This workshop supports participants in integrating their shadow sides in order create their own way and serve the collective with integrity.
DON'T SEE WHAT YOU'RE LOOKING FOR?
I offer customized workshops where our interests and goals align. Get in touch, and let's talk it out.
